Caring Shepherd was established with a vision to transform the landscape of in-home care. We offer a wide range of in-home care services, including personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication administration, and companionship. Our specialized services extend to dementia and Alzheimer’s care, Parkinson’s care, palliative care, postoperative care, and more. Each service is designed with the utmost attention to detail and consideration for the individual needs of our clients.
Our team is our greatest asset. Comprised of experienced and compassionate caregivers, and administrative staff, we are united in our commitment to providing the highest standard of care. Continuous training and development ensure our team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills in care provision.
Digna Obar was born in the Philippines. She is a graduate of the Asian Institute of Health Care, and has been a professional caregiver since 2000. Since this time she has worked with individuals with a variety of special needs. Digna moved to Vancouver BC in 2003 and continued her caregiving work both independently and with area caregiving organizations.
In 2017 Digna co-founded Caring Shepherd. Leading the company’s direction and vision—she works hands-on with clients, employees, and schedule management. She acts as lead in visiting prospective clients and care locations (hospitals and nursing homes) and regularly discusses operational and strategic matters with her co-founder and business partner.
Ruben Gellibert was born in Ecuador. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance from the Catholic University of Guayaquil and a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) designation. Ruben worked several years in the assurance division of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Ecuador.
Ruben moved to Canada in 2005 looking for new opportunities to further his career as a finance professional. Ruben is in charge of all financial affairs of the company and constantly scans Caring Shepherd’s business environment looking for new opportunities and other matters that may affect the company’s business strategy.
