Following surgery, I had Caring Shepherd provide support for me at home until I was able to look after myself. I was very impressed with the service I received. The caregivers were quietly efficient, helping me with showering and dressing very competently and discretely. They were gentle and supported me as much or as little as I requested. They also kept my home clean and tidy, doing whatever tasks I asked of them including meal preparation. They were reliable and arrived at the time agreed. Their care of me helped me to recover quickly and they were flexible with cutting the number of visits as my needs changed. If I ever need such help again, I would definitely turn to Caring Shepherd.

I’m glad that Caring Shepherd sent a caregiver like Pastor George to care for my husband who was suffering dementia. Pastor George looked after my husband with respect, compassion, patience, and competence as though he was caring for his own sick father. Because of him, my husband was able to live his last year comfortably at home with loving care instead of dying alone or with strangers in an institution. I was very impressed with the way Caring Shepherd met our needs in caring for my Dad living with Dementia in our home . Digna answers calls herself, met with us to assess our needs and assigned caring and qualified care aides. When extra needs arose, they were very accommodating and understanding, so that I could relax and know my Dad was being cared for and I could enjoy a much needed holiday.

It’s now being one year since a caregiver comes daily to work with my wife. The results are amazing. My wife can now walk (slowly) talk, eat, play simple games and smile (she’s happy again). We’d like to thank Caring Shepherd for the outstanding care they provided to our ninety-four year old mum. Mum was lucky enough to be fully lucid at ninety-four and she looked forward to her care-worker, Liezl’s, visits. These visits gave mum the support she needed to stay in her own home until her final two months. Liezl also accompanied mum on doctor and hospital visits enabling her to retain her independence. You provided wonderful care for a reasonable price on an on-call basis and mum was very grateful.

Caring Shepherd provided me with a cleaning lady who came twice a month for about one year. She was a young person finishing off her nursing training in Vancouver. I was very pleased with the quality of her work and was confident enough for her to have access to my house when I was not around. I was pleased that I had the same person most of the time apart from one month when she returned to the Philippines for a holiday. In particular, I appreciated that Digna was a delight to deal with and always available to contact and that all the invoices were handled expeditiously.
